"Single Girl" by Ashley Schnarr {eBook}

I am so honored and excited to announce that my sweet friend Ashley has just released a new eBook!

"Single Girl: the single woman's guide to life, liberty and the pursuit of godliness"
I am privileged to know Ashley, not only as a fellow blogger but also in "real life" as we are blessed to be part of the same wonderful church family. I can proudly say that Ashley is a sweet sister in Christ who graciously lives her life in light of the rich wisdom she shares in this book. She is serving God faithfully in her singleness as she ministers to others, all the while preparing to be a future wife and mother.

Ashley has written a book full of Biblical wisdom that encourages single girls to live fully to the glory of God, no matter what stage of life you are in! Even as a married mama, I found much of what Ashley had to say encouraging. Being content and Christ-honoring is tantamount, no matter your marital status.
"Trust in the Lord, believe that where He has you today is for your good. Faithfully serve Him wherever you are in life. Submit your desires to Him and He will fulfill them or change them to match His. This is the road to contentment."
Ashley has taken her passion for the ways of the Lord and, along with grace and encouragement, is sharing what she is learning during this season of singleness. This book is full of advice on growing your relationship with Christ and serving others along with practical tips on beauty, modesty and the big question...relationships with our brothers in Christ.

I think this book is wonderfully countercultural. Ashley does not take the position that the single girl should be "living it up" without thought to her possible future life. Nor does she suggest that you should just sit around waiting for a husband to show up. She also debunks the mindset that single Christian women are not as valuable in the local church. Her words are a wonderful blend of practical ways a single girl can serve in the body and live fully for Christ during this phase of life as well as ways to prepare for the possibilities of the future. And, oh how necessary this encouragement is for single girls to be grounded in their faith so that they can step out in wisdom in their future endeavors.

I whole-heartedly recommend this book to all single women, as well as those of us who are friends with single girls as find ourselves in mentor roles so that we can better encourage and instruct those God places in our lives. This would be a great read for parents, youth pastors, teachers and mentors.

As a gift to her readers, Ashley is hosting a great giveaway on her blog during launch week. An Ultimate Beauty Bag full of products in a super cute ThirtyOne bag plus a copy of "Single Girl". Head on over and enter!!
